Tell the Compton City Council to Show Their ❤️ For Compton and Fix Our Streets Now!
February 14, 2017
Today is a day of love. Show your love for the City of Compton by joining in today’s day of action aimed at FIXING OUR STREETS NOW.
Today your City Council will take up an emergency vote on whether or not to fix our streets now using some of the Measure P funds we just received to fill potholes and stabilize out streets until we complete the necessary street design to fully repave all of our streets. The focus will be on major streets first including Central, Wilmington, Compton Boulevard and Rosecrans. We all know that Compton’s streets need to be fixed now. Please join me today at 5 p.m. at the City Council meeting to urge the City Council to VOTE YES on fixing the streets now. Paying as you go or waiting an additional four months is not an option for our community. We need the streets fixed now. In case you’ve never been to City Hall, the address is 205 S. Willowbrook Avenue. The meeting is in Council Chambers. Just sign-up to speak during public comments and/or on agenda item #5.
If you can’t make it this evening, you can still contribute. You can share my post with your social media network. You can take a few minutes today to call the Compton City Council and/or send them an email urging a YES vote on agenda item #5. Just click here.
